Class Itinerary:
UAS Training Seminar to help you understand how UAS operate in the national airspace and how to safely and legally operate a UAS as part of your aerial photography business This 3 day seminar will cover all aspects of incorporating a UAS into your business and qualifies for the 25 hours of training required for the PAPA Certified Professional UAS Photographer designation.
Day 1 - GROUND SCHOOL -for UAS and includes safety training, basic operations, flight crews, communications, FAA rules and regulations, and equipment features.
Day 2 - FLIGHT TRAINING - Hands on flight training will cover basic maneuvers, takeoffs and landings, obstruction avoidance, safety procedures, resource management, air crew responsibilities, and camera operations.
Day 3 - CERTIFICATION - Practical test covering subjects from Ground and Flight training. Member assistance in completing all FAA required documentation to submit a 333 petition and UAS registration. A member led round table discussion will also be held to discuss various marketing aspects of UAS. Those that successfully completed this course are eligible for PAPA Certification as a Certified Professional UAS Photographer, once the receive their approved FAA 333 registration.
Registration & Fees:
PAPA Member: Includes transportation to and from conference hotel to venue. Also includes box lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday plus lunch at hotel on Thursday. Those attending this event that will also attend the PAPA Annual Conference should choose the 2 Day PAPA Conference registration option.
PAPA Member Companion Fee: Includes transportation to and from conference hotel to venue. Also includes box lunch for Tuesday and Wednesday plus lunch at hotel on Thursday. Includes attendance at ground school and shared flight training with primary member. It does not include Certificate of Training or Hands on Supervised Flight training by instructor.
Each company is limited to one 333 exemption application.
